Introduction

Synzo Technologies ("Synzo") operates the Shopyzo ecosystem, including the Synzo / Shopyzo Platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you as a user in India. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules thereunder.

By accessing or using our applications, websites, or APIs, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use and contact support@synzo.in for account closure options.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with the Synzo / Shopyzo Platform, we may collect: (a) identity and contact information such as name, email, mobile number, and address; (b) account credentials and authentication tokens; (c) transaction and order history including products, amounts, and delivery status; (d) device identifiers, IP address, app version, and crash logs; (e) location data when you grant permission, for example to assign delivery routes or show nearby stores; (f) communications with customer support; and (g) marketing preferences and survey responses.

We collect data directly from you, automatically through your device, from payment partners and logistics providers, and from vendors when you place marketplace orders. We do not collect more data than is reasonably necessary for the stated purposes.

How We Use Your Data

We use personal data to: provide and improve the Synzo / Shopyzo Platform; authenticate users and prevent fraud; process orders, payments, and refunds; coordinate pickup and delivery; send transactional notifications (SMS, push, email); comply with legal and tax obligations including GST reporting; analyse aggregated usage to enhance performance; and, with consent where required, send promotional offers relevant to Shopyzo services.

We do not use sensitive personal data for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects without explicit notice and consent as required by law.

Sharing and Disclosure

We share data only as needed with: payment gateways and banks for transaction processing; courier and logistics partners for fulfilment; cloud infrastructure providers hosting data in India or approved regions; analytics and crash-reporting tools under data processing agreements; law enforcement or regulators when legally compelled; and affiliated Synzo divisions that require access to deliver integrated services (e.g., CRM, ads, POS).

We do not sell personal data. Third parties are contractually required to use data solely for the services they provide to Synzo and to implement appropriate security measures.

Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet statutory retention periods (for example, financial records under Indian tax law). When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it using commercially reasonable methods. Backup copies may persist for a limited period before automatic purging.

You may request deletion subject to legal exceptions — see "Your Rights" below and our Account Deletion policy.

Your Rights

Under the DPDPA and our internal policies, you may have the right to: access a summary of personal data processed; request correction of inaccurate data; withdraw consent for optional processing; nominate another individual to exercise rights in case of death or incapacity; and lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India once constituted.

To exercise these rights, email support@synzo.in from your registered contact. We may verify identity before fulfilling requests. Some rights may be limited where processing is necessary for legal compliance or legitimate business interests.

We respond to verified requests within statutory timelines under applicable Indian law.

Policy Updates

We may update this document to reflect changes in law, product features, or security practices. Material changes will be communicated through in-app notices, email (where provided), or an updated effective date on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, except where your explicit consent is required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
